Great mix!

This was a cool little song. I really liked the way that dive (I'm going to guess it was a cello) worked with the bass and keyboard. Very cool. But parts of it sounded like generic dance music, especially the thumping beat that's in every dance song ever. Haha, but it was cool. Good job, keep it up.

JohnLeprechaun responds:

Yeah, I'm most definitely going to go back and fix some things. I realize now that this song is very boring, so I'll have to spice it up some. Thanks for the review, I appreciate it.

Woah...

Trippy. Cool song. Nice bass in the mix, gives it a really nice boom.

Cool

The shit, as always. Lol, is everyone using DigiTech, btw? Just looked, you're usinbg a RP250, DEthkllr84 is using an RP250, I'm getting an RP350... awesome. But yeah, great cover, keep em coming! WE NEED MORE METAL!! \m/

Deathcalypse responds:

Ha thanks man! It is a pretty good modeling guitar processor

Cowboys in Space!

Woah... That bass/guitar thing, whatever that is, is really spacey. Did you use some sort of phaser/wierd echo or reverb? Kinda wierd sounding, and too short. Try redoing that guitar (I think) part (NOW THAT YOU CAN!!! :D) and it'll be a cool song. Oh, and loop it once or twice. Maybe.

CarlTheVoiceactor responds:

I figured it might be a little too short :P Thanks for the idea and the guitar is a preset wild west glide guitar in the program.

Eh.

Fairly unoriginal techno song. Sounds like pretty much every other techno song I've ever heard. Try doing something unexpected, like a more syncopated beat, or some wierd synth stuff. Too much echo throughout a lot of the song, and a little fuzzy. There's potential, you've just got to dig a little.

Great improv man. Congratz on getting accepted. Nice distortion, not to much, to cover the tone, but enough to give it a nice fuzz. Excellent use of disonance, not easy to do in an improv, and great articulation. Especially loved the voice, like how you used bends and slurs. Great all around.

VincentElric responds:

Thank you very much for your feedback, much appreciated.
If you're curious I use a Roland Cube 60 for my distortion.

Getin' Medival... or Whatever

Cool song. Sounds like a kinda electronic take on medival cathedrals. Reminds me of a combination of Dragon Quest and Castlevania. Love those games. Anyways, loved the cool echo effect at around 0:30. Cool. Keep em' comin'!

smilingpig67 responds:

Haha, thanks for the review!

Not my taste, but still good

I don't personally care for music like (i.e. synth, punk-esque vocals), but I'm rating on the music I heard, not my taste in said music, and the music I heard was good. The growling vocals I would say either tone down a little (not too much, just not as strained) and take it down a step or two. All in all, good song, just not for me. Btw, kick ass solo! \m/

Great song, man! Awesome riffs, loved eq. And those drums... So many people don't understand good thrash drums, usually they have way too much crash or snare, but these had the right balance. The slow part was creepy, but in a good way. Really added to the atmosphere. Great work, can't wait for more!

Deathcalypse responds:

Thank you! I've been doing alot of work on getting a good balance for the drums. I turned up some of the cymbals though because i noticed that they were a tad bit too quiet.

Great!

Great song, very good atmosphere, and a great flow throughout. Except, the transition into the solo was a little rough. But otherwise, great song!

SlaveLabor responds:

What can I say, It's supposed to surprise the shit out of you. Thanks for the review

\m/!!
